This company are one of the most recognized and respected players in their market sector. Through offering innovative and sustainable software and automation solutions to the global power and energy market, they are continuing to grow and develop the services and technologies delivered to customer both in the UK and internationally.

This division of the business, specialises in bespoke software solutions for the global power transmission and distribution market which includes clients across Power Utilities, Distributed Network Operators (DNO's), Infrastructure & Transportation.. This portfolio is inclusive of Asset Management & Optimisation software alongside Energy Network and Resource Management Systems (DERMS).

The Role

This is a hands-on sales leadership role, where you will be tasked with leading a team of Sales Specialists across the UK & Northern European region, which will also involve driving your own pipeline and securing opportunities with both new and existing clients.

This will include the following:

* Managing the sales team and implementing the overall strategies and processes for the business and UK & Northern European region.
* Develop and implement a strategic business plan for the territory that together with the successful management of the sales team leads to sustainable growth.
* Securing business for the full product portfolio with particular focus on Connected Asset Lifecycle Management.
* Complete market facing activity and customer engagement to ensure successful and sustainable business growth.

The successful candidate will have a proven track-record in growing a high performing sales team within a software-focused sales environment, with a good knowledge of the power transmission and distribution market across the UK & Europe.

Coupled with this, you will also have a hands-on mentality to sales and the drive to develop your own sales pipeline across new and emerging markets to support the growth of the business and region.

Given the nature of the role, an understanding of both direct and channel sales would be advantageous, alongside previous experience of software solution sales to clients across utilities, power utilities & generation, DNO's, transmission & distribution and infrastructure/transportation.
