The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, organised individual to join our clients QSSHE Team in an Environmental Compliance role. This role entails assisting the Environmental team in keeping abreast of changes to laws, regulations and company rules. Exceptional written communication and presentation skills, along with a keen eye for detail, are essential for this position, as the role requires gathering various types of information, followed by summarising the information to concise reports required to submit to various stakeholders.
The successful candidate will need to be motivated to develop efficient ways of managing regulatory data submissions, whilst demonstrating a passion for improving health, safety and environmental practices. A technical background may be beneficial for this position; however, it would equally suit an individual with a background in legal and/or compliance.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining the legal register and ensuring legislative changes risk assessed for the impact on the business and that they are updated in documentation and communicated to the business
* Managing the PLANC and Permit Matrix updates
* SPA for reporting tools such as Tracker, EMIS and EEMS reporting
* Produce the monthly QSSHE KPI's and present in various requirements
* Developing the partner monthly KPI's
* EU ETS reporting
* Participating (from time to time) as an incident investigation team member and/or providing environmental advice to other investigation teams
* Providing support to the Offshore Emergency Response Arrangements
* Ensuring the timely communication of permit expiry to the hub Environmental Advisors.
* Identifying environmental training, competency and awareness requirements and supporting HR's role in the recording and tracking of competence
* Acting as custodian and helping to facilitate improvements as necessary, so that they continue to evolve with the growth of the business
* Updating progress with the Annual QSSHE Plan (specifically with regards to environmental topics)

Qualifications / Key Skills / Experience:

* Ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent. A technical degree would be useful, however, a legal, business, compliance or research background would also be ideally suited for this role
* A keen eye for detail and excellent presentation skills
* Expert user of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and TEAMS tools
* Worked as a team player, experience of working to tight deadlines in previous roles
* Detail-oriented and well organised
* Excellent ability to understand and present data sets
* Ability to engage with key stakeholders in a professional manner
* Confident, open and approachable manner, with the ability to communicate and work alongside all departments promoting a good compliance culture
* Ability to foster strong relationships
